House Of Grime

And few other musicalings

“There’s No Need To Call Names…”

On a monday night, there would be nothing more I’d like to do than sit in the confinments of my bedroom, listening to Logan Sama’s Kiss FM show.

But in more recent weeks, that disease commonly known as Cream Crackered-ism (Tired, for those less cockney readers) has overcome that particular desire of mine, so I’m forced to piece together comments from the forum with youtube-d audio rips.

So after doing my Sherlock Homes act it was of great pleasure for me to stumble across this

Yep. That’s right. Indeed you saw and heard correctly, Little Dee teams up with the almighty musical forces of Wiley, Chipmunk, Maverick, Scorcher and Brazen (Yeah I know, Brazen, where did he go ??) !! The songs called Walk Da Walk, I dunno when or where you can get it, but my oh my what a banger !!

That’s my Logan Tune Of The Week (<LOL) . Last weeks tune was Wiley & Shifty Vs Ghetts & Devlin. Oh and stay tuned for a new Devlin post.

Peace ;)

3…2…1…………GO !

I havn’t listened to the Logan Sama show on Kiss FM for a while now, I find I just don’t have the time to stay awake on Monday’s like that. But, it seems last night should’ve been the night I locked in.

And that’s possibly down to this one song alone

Wiley & Shifty Vs Devlin & Ghetts – 1 2 3

The tune is well and truly nuts !! WIley’s on the production, each MC does ALOT.COM.

I don’t listen to many MC’s from outside of London (it’s not a bias thing I just don’t have time) but of those I do Shifty is defiantly one of the better ones. Many have stuck with the opinion that Devlin has fallen off as of late, but after this and London City, it’s fair to say he’s pushing his Dagenham shoulders back into the game. Ghetts is doing alot lately, watch out for his next mix tape “Calm Before The Storm” dropping before the debut album “Rebel With A Cause”. But the best MC on this track has to be Wiley. His flow is mental !! Look out for the next Wiley album “The Illusive” dropping some time in September and also the next single “She Likes To”:

BIG OR WHAT ?!?!

BIG OR WHAT ?!?!

But for now people, enjoy the song, it’s a banger. Peace.

Dizzee + Chrome + Calvin Harris + Great British Heatwave = SUMMER !!!

Dil and Calvin last year after Dance Wiv Me

Dillan and Calvin last year after Dance Wiv Me

Roughly this time last year, Grime MC turned chart-topper Dizzee Rascal teamed up with pop sensation Calvin Harris and R & B star Chrome to create the masterpiece that was “Dance Wiv Me”.

“Erection Flow…NO HOMO”

Still a star in the hood...

Still a star in the hood...

I chose that title because I’ve just finished listening to Tinchy Stryder’s current in store CD “Stryder Vs Maniac”. Since that release the “pint-sized” MC from Bow has been supremely busy, trying his hardest to cement Grime into a more, let’s say, wider audienced category. Along that winding road has come 3 attempts. “Stryderman” didn’t reach the top 10, however it was playlisted on National daytime radio 1 (Props to Jo Whiley). “Take Me Back” enlisted the help of worldwide sucess story Taio Cruz and that got much further then Stryderman. And after that, “Cloud-9 Strydes” finnaly hit the big-time, getting a national Number 1 with N-Dubz’ Dappy on top song “Number 1″ (Didn’t see that one coming did you ?). So, with one number one already in the bag, what’s next for Stryderman ?

That is. Amelle from pop collective Sugababes provides nice vocals to Tinchy’s latest single “Never Leave You”, dropping on the 13th of August. Listening carefully enough will show you that, a female isn’t the object of Tinchy’s lyrics here, it is the grime scene. Is there anyone else pushing the scene as far at the moment ? They’re invisible if so. Download Tinchy’s brand new “Star In The Hood” EP now, by clicking the above picture or the link below. ;) .

“London..The Best City In The World.”

That right there is the offical video for Devlin’s 1st single “London City”. The song is also taken from Devlin’s debut album “Bud, Sweat and Beers” (still quite far from your shops) and it’s nice to finaly hear something positive from the East London MC.

Monday Tune Of The Day/Catch 22

Tinchy Stryder & Amelle Berrabah – Never Leave You – Catch 22

After chart success with both Taio Cruz & N-Dubz, Tinchy’s next attempt to crack the mainstream comes in the form of “Never Leave You” with vocal support from Sugababe’s own Amelle.

Also we got the tracklisting for his new album “Catch 22″.

1. Never Leave You (Feat. Amelle)

2. Number 1 (Feat. N Dubz)

3. Take Me Back (Feat. Taio Cruz)

4. Stryderman

5. I’m Landin

6. 1 of us

7. Spotlight

8. Story Unfold

9. First Place

Nice to see Stryderman up there along with Take Me Back, and chart topping masterpiece Number 1 also gets a look in, standardly. 9 tracks doe’s seem slighty short for an album, more sort of the basis for an E.P. I’m sure it will be a spectacular array of music none the less, based on what we’ve heard already !
